Tropical Green Smoothie + Introducing My Partnership with Rev'd!
Today is a really exciting day for me, because I finally get to tell everyone about my brand new partnership with Rev’d Indoor Cycling! If you read my recent post about personal wellness and beauty, then you already know that I’m in love with pretty much everything about Rev’d. So when they asked me about working together on content for their website and social media channels, and wanted to bring me on as their Culinary + Lifestyle Expert, I obviously agreed and jumped right in!
We launched the partnership today, starting with A Joy in the Kitchen (me!) taking over the Rev'd Snapchat account for their weekly "What I Ate Wednesday." I shared this smoothie recipe with all of their followers, but due to the time-sensitive nature of Shapchat, I wanted to make sure that everyone had a chance to read and print out the full recipe if they wanted to try it at home, so, here it is! I love this smoothie for all of the health benefits it offers. You’ve got hydrating cucumber, anti-oxidant pineapple and lime, anti-inflammatory ginger and turmeric, fiber-rich kale and apple, and healthy fat from the avocado. It’s the perfect pre- or post-workout smoothie, and it tastes great despite its intimidating-to-some neon green color! Plus, all of these ingredients are fantastic for boosting immunity, which we can all use a little help with when heading into the holidays!

Tropical Green Smoothie
Makes 2 large servings
3 cups cold filtered water
1 apple, cored
1/3 of a large English cucumber, cut into a few pieces
2 cups greens of choice
1 handful fresh mint leaves
1 inch fresh ginger root, sliced into coins
1 inch fresh turmeric root
1 cup frozen pineapple
1/4 avocado, peeled
1/2 lime or lemon, juiced
Add ingredients to blender in order listed and secure lid. Blend on low speed, then gradually increase to highest speed. If you like a sweeter smoothie, add more pineapple or some banana! Blend until smooth, pour, and enjoy.
